Work to widen the M7 Motorway at Eastern Creek on the approaches to the Light Horse Interchange is about to get underway and is expected to continue through to 2026.
The works are part of the M7-M12 Integration project, which aims to support future development growth in Western Sydney by improving travel times and congestion.
This upgrade will see an additional north and south bound lane added to the M7 Motorway between the M5, Prestons and Richmond Road, Glendenning/Oakhurst.
To enable the work, a number of red markers that form part of the Australian Light Horse Sculpture Parade located at the interchange with the M4 Motorway and Wallgrove Road will need to be temporarily removed and safely stored.
Temporary removal of the red markers has been planned in consultation with Veteran Groups.
Where possible, work will be scheduled at nighttime to minimise disruption.
The work will entail some tree removal before the area is landscaped on completion of work in 2026.
