Australian refrigerated transport operator Eurocold has unveiled the first of its range of electric refrigerated trucks.
The Eurocold Revora EV range features all-electric three and eight pallet trucks, as well as a new van model.
The largest truck is an eight pallet EV based on the Volvo FL, with a range of 210km and a 5,100kg payload with the fridge.
From there, it moves down to a three pallet EV truck body based on the Foton T5, with a range of 110km with the refrigeration equipment and a 1,000kg payload.
The new range also includes a two pallet van EV based around the Ford e-Transit, with a range of 130km with the fridge and a 1100kg payload.
The refrigeration unit attached to each vehicle is an established product from global company Carrier, while the refrigerated bodywork is Italian-manufactured ISOKIT, for whom Eurocold has been a long-term distributor within the Australian market.
Eurocold is offering customers the opportunity to enter into short to medium term rental contracts, to help them transition their fleets to zero emission vehicles.
With bases in South East Queensland, Sydney, Melbourne and Western Australia, the company said it is well placed to service most of the country.
Eurocold added that it has maximised the effectiveness of their customers’ move to electric, providing total tracking software, charging stations, and continued education and service.
