Pacific Highway closed at Karuah while B-double removed

The Pacific Highway remains closed southbound at Karuah River Bridge while a truck is being salvaged following an overnight crash.

According to reports, the driver managed to escape unharmed from the early morning incident, however the truck is almost vertical down the embankment and will require a 100-tonne crane to remove it.

All southbound traffic is being diverted via Tarean Road (the old highway) through Karuah.

This diversion is suitable for all vehicles.
