Sitrak Australia has issued a recall on Sinotruk T5Gs due to a problem with the Adaptive Cruise Control.
Some 305 units are affected, within the year range 2021-2024.
The recall notice reads that because of a software issue, the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) function may not operate as intended.
This may cause the vehicle to exceed the maximum speed limit of 100km per hour if the driver intervenes when the cruise control is active, potentially increasing the risk of an accident.
The list of Vehicle Identiciation Numbers for trucks impacted by the recall can be found here.
Owners of affected vehicles can contact their nearest authorised Sitrak Australia dealership to have the problem fixed, free of charge.
