Volvo recalls 39 trucks due to manufacturing issue

Volvo Group Australia has issued a recall notice for 39 trucks due to a manufacturing issue.

The affected models are all from 2024 and include FH, FM, FHE, FME (4), variants 24-HDV, TYPE-FH/FM, LSS-DW3, E4-HDV, TYPE-FH/FM, LSS-DW3.

Due to a manufacturing problem, the Pilot Assist System in these trucks may not operate as intended and fail to alert the driver if the steering wheel is not being held.

Loss of safety systems such as the Pilot Assist System whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Volvo Group Australia immediately to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out free of charge.

The full list of vehicle identification numbers for the trucks affected can be found on the Vehicle Recalls website
