Road access changes on Warrego Highway

Truckies can expect delays due to pavement repair and resurfacing works while westbound on the Warrego Highway between Kholo Road and Wulkuraka Connection Road, Blacksoil, from this weekend.

In an advisory note to industry, Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads said works will start from Sunday, August 25 and finish on Thursday, September 19, weather permitting.

Impact 

Warrego Highway (westbound between Kholo Road and Bramers Road

  • Works will commence 8pm on Sunday, August 25 to 5am on Thursday, September 19.
  • Works will be undertaken from Sunday to Friday during the hours of 8pm and 5am, nightly.

Fernvale Road on-ramp to Warrego Highway (westbound)

  • Will be closed for three nights between the hours of 9pm and 5am.
  • During these periods, traffic detours will be in effect and heavy vehicles will be directed via appropriate detour signage.

Heavy vehicle operators must do the following: 

  1. Loads greater than 3m wide are advised to contact Adam Kropp (adam.kropp@fultonhogan.com.au) at least three working days priorto travel.
  2. Operators must also contact on site representative, Denis McCarthy (project engineer), on 0499 701 159 at least two hours prior to arrival onsite.
  3. On arrival, operators are to stop at the worksite and call McCarthy prior to travelling through site.

Failure to provide notice may result in delays to your travel, said TMR.
