Based in Canberra, with a capacity to travel interstate or internationally, Sutton Road Training Centre (SRTC) is a driver and transport industry education and technical training centre.

With 30 years of experience in the training space, SRTC is committed to providing the highest standard of training and assessment for professionals and enthusiasts looking to upskill or gain accreditation.

The purpose-built facility, located at 441 Sutton Road, Majura, is equipped with a 2.5-kilometre two lane asphalt driving circuit, two vehicle manoeuvring areas, a self-watering purpose built skid pan, a purpose built 4WD track and eight classrooms.

Here you’ll find a dedicated team of trainers and administrators who are focused on achieving the highest of standards in the learning outcomes of all participants.

SRTC delivers training with an added sense of fun, while remaining committed to safety and the needs of the transport industry.

Training for licence upgrades is undertaken in line with state and territory licencing requirements and guidelines; ensuring all candidates are presented with a safe driving model that can be adopted to all licence classes.

SRTC also offers a broad range of nationally accredited courses for the transport industry.

SRTC provides the following, which require a dedicated safety mindset while being enjoyable and challenging:

• TLILIC0003 Licence to Operate Forklift Truck

• TLILIC0001 Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road

• TLILIC0024 Licence to Operate a Vehicle Loading Crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above)

• 10929NAT – Dangerous Goods Road Transport Emergency Recovery Operations

In addition to this, SRTC also offers a range of other services too.

Or if you love the outdoors and four wheel driving is your thing, consider adding to your existing knowledge with specific skills by attending SRTC’s one, two or three day four wheel drive courses. This will have you ready for your trip or work mission, knowing you have the mindset and skillset to accomplish the task safely. The four wheel drive courses on offer are:

• FWPCOT3325 Operate Four Wheel Drive Vehicle on Unsealed Roads

• FWPCOT3326 Recover Four Wheel Drive Vehicle

• FWPCOT3329 – Perform Complex Four Wheel Drive Operations
