The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads has warned that rehabilitation works will soon take place on the John Row Bridge, 3km north of Ingham on the Bruce Highway.
Works will occur between 6.30am and 5pm, from Monday October 21 to early December.
Heavy vehicle operators with oversize vehicles or transporting wide loads greater than 3m will not be permitted to cross the bridge during this time.
The works require a single lane closure, with contraflow traffic signals in place throughout the works period.
Traffic impacts include speed restrictions and “short delays”.
Traffic controllers will be on site during active construction hours, and advanced warning signs will be in place on approach to the work area, notifying drivers of the changed conditions.
All work is subject to weather conditions, contractor availability and construction progress.
Road users are asked to drive carefully through the roadwork zone, following the direction of signage and adhering to the reduced speed limits.
TMR said in a statement: “TMR would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during these important works.”
