Temporary lane closures at Warringah Freeway this weekend

There will be changed traffic conditions on the Warringah Freeway across the weekend, starting from tonight, as upgrade works continue.

Multiple temporary lane and ramp closures will be in place from 10pm Friday October to 25 to 4.30am Monday October 28.

Traffic changes include:
•    Ernest Street northbound off ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday October 25 to 4.30am Monday October 28. Detour via the Pacific Highway.

  •  Ernest Street southbound on ramp closed continuously from 10pm Friday October 25 to 4.30am Monday October 28. Use the Falcon Street southbound on ramp.
  •  From 11.30pm Saturday October 26 to 8am Sunday October 27, there will be no northbound access to the Falcon Street off ramp or the Miller Street off ramp from the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Motorists travelling to North Sydney, Mosman, Manly and Crows Nest must exit at the Pacific Highway and turn right at Miller Street. Motorists heading to the Gore Hill Freeway/Lane Cove Tunnel and the M1 should use lane 4 on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The Miller Street southbound on ramp is currently closed from 10am to 6pm weekdays. This is a long-term temporary closure now in place, continuing until mid-December 2024. Motorists are advised to use either the Ernest Street or the Falcon Street on ramps.

The Sydney Harbour Tunnel will also have the following closures:
•    Southbound from 11.30pm Friday October 25 to 6am Saturday October 26
•    Northbound on Sunday October 27 from 12.30am to 8am
•    Southbound from 10pm Tuesday October 29 to 5am Wednesday October 30
•    Southbound from 10pm Wednesday October 30 to 5am Thursday October 31

The Sydney Harbour Bridge will remain open at all times. However, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is not open to Restricted Access Vehicles (RAV). Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a notice will need to consult their relevant enforceable network map to confirm a suitable approved alternative route. Vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.

Transport for NSW says delays are expected and advises motorists to allow extra travel time.
