Green machines – Sadleirs adds four new MAN TGS prime movers to the fleet

Freight and logistics business Sadleirs has taken delivery of four new Euro 6-compliant MAN TGS 26.510s.

Family owned and operated, Sadleirs has an incredibly long history that dates back to 1829.

It was founded as Lionel Samson & Son by Lionel Samson and his younger brother William in 1829, after they arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia.

In 1936 the company acquired RC Sadleir, which had opened in 1895.

Today, it offers its services across Australia and overseas, as one of the oldest family logistics business in Australia.

The company took delivery of the new MANs from the team at Penske Australia’s Perth dealership.

They will be used across Sadleirs’ Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane operations.

Sadleirs says each new MAN is equipped with advanced safety features, enhanced fuel efficiency, and a comfortable cab.

The trucks feature a reinforced cab with active roll stabilisation, lane change assistance, emergency braking, among numerous other safety features.

Thomas McAulay, national assets and facilities manager at Sadleirs, said, “It has been a pleasure working with Penske and we couldn’t hope for a better result.

“The MAN trucks are very modern trucks that have the driver’s needs and safety at the forefront. The performance and reliability of the equipment have exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t be happier with the overall quality. The trucks have seamlessly integrated into our fleet, delivering the efficiency and durability we require to maintain smooth operations.”
