Transport Women Australia Limited has added four new board members, and Jo Hansen has left the board after suffering from a period of ill health.
The new members include Loretta Hartley from Toowoomba, Claudia Foini and Ainsleigh Thomas from Sydney and Katrina Burns from Melbourne.
They join the team as directors with Jacquelene Brotherton as chair, Coralie Chapman as vice chair and company secretary, and Di Caldwell-Smith, Penne Murphy, and Kat Attana as directors.
Loretta Hartley is the client manager for transport at AON Risk Services and has been in the transport insurance industry for 12 years.
She is a long-term member of the TWAL team and holds a TWAL Dream Maker Award, as well as being named in the Elite Woman in Insurance Top 50.
Claudia Foini is the DXT NSW state manager for Doble Express Transport.
She has 22 years of transport experience, has been a volunteer in TWAL’s schools and careers initiative and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.
Ainsleigh Thomas is the NSW/ACT state linehaul manager for Startrack.
Thomas was a 2023 TWAL Driving the Difference scholarship recipient, the inaugural TWAL 2024 Young Gunnette award winner and a 2024 Road Freight NSW Emerging Leader finalist.
Katrina Burns is the state manager VIC/TAS for Silverback Cargo Care.
She has been in the transport and logistics industry for 12 years and was named the VTA’s 2018 Young Achiever of the Year at the Australian Freight Industry Awards.
These four women will join with the five current directors to form the largest board to have taken command of Transport Women Australia Limited.
“The board will allow the organisation to continue its growth and produce further projects and initiatives to add ongoing value to present and future members,” said Jacquelene Brotherton, TWAL chair.
