Recharge Petroleum acquires Adelaide Fuel Distributors

Recharge Petroleum has completed its acquisition of Adelaide Fuel Distributors, as the company ramps up its expansion in South Australia.

Adelaide Fuel Distributors was started by Bryson Fredericks in 1971 in Seaford, just south of Adelaide. The business expanded to operate 16 delivery trucks for the delivery of bulk fuels and lubricants from its depots in Cavan and Seaford.

Recharge Petroleum has now purchased the business from Fredricks, including the company’s fuel transport assets for bulk fuel and onsite distribution, its lubricant warehouses, and ten service stations and unmanned refuelling locations.

Recharge Petroleum is owned by brothers Neale Crawford and Steven Crawford. It has been a BP distributor for over eight years, representing the bp brand in the Pilbara and Kimberley regions of Western Australia, and bolstering BP’s market presence in the Northern Territory and now South Australia.

“The expansion will leverage the synergies between Recharge Petroleum’s established networks into South Australia, unlocking even more opportunities for our customers to access bp fuel throughout these key markets,” said Recharge Petroleum.

“We are proud to expand Recharge Petroleum’s established networks into South Australia – unlocking new opportunities and continuing to provide the exceptional service that the Fredericks Family and team have supplied over the years

With the Adelaide Fuel Distributors business now added to its operations, Recharge Petroleum employs around 300 staff across its wholesale and retail businesses.

It operates 30 service stations and unmanned refuelling locations, and owns and operates a fleet of approximately 100 trucks.

In coming weeks, the 10 Adelaide Fuel Distributors service stations and unmanned refuelling locations will be rebranded to BP as Recharge Petroleum.
