Driver killed in two-truck crash on Hume Highway at Cullerin

A man has died in a two-vehicle crash on the Hume Highway at Cullerin, about 5km east of Gunning, NSW.

The accident happened at about 11.15pm on Friday, December 13.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District attended the scene and found two trucks had collided.

The driver of one of the trucks, a man believed to be aged in his 40s, died at the scene.

The driver of the second truck – a 25-year-old man – was uninjured.

He was taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

The Hume Highway was closed eastbound between Gunning and Cullerin, with diversions in place, for a number of hours.

Westbound lanes of the highway were unaffected.
