Detour approved after Bruce Highway flooding near Proserpine

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has issued a temporary detour notice due to the flooding on the Bruce Highway at Thompson Creek, south of Proserpine.

A temporary detour for road train and PBS B-double (quad quad and quad tri) combinations up to 30 metres in length are approved to operate up to HML mass limits travelling in both directions using the Inland Freight Route, to and from Brisbane via Roma to Charters Towers to Garbutt (Townsville).

Access from the Bruce Highway to the Inland Freight route is approved via the 25m/26m B-double and Type 1 road train approved networks.

This approved detour will remain in place for the period of the Bruce Highway restrictions.
