Truckies are advised of changed traffic conditions from next week on the New England Highway at Tenterfield in NSW to replace a culvert at Ghost Gully.
The work starts on Monday, January 13, and will be carried out from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, and is expected to be finished by late May, weather permitting.
Transport for NSW said single lane, alternating traffic flow arrangements will be required for the duration of work, with a reduced speed limit of 40km/h for the safety of workers and road users.
Oversize and overmass (OSOM) vehicles more than 4 metres wide are asked to detour via Old Ballandean Road and Mount Lindesay Road. They can call the project team on 0411 021 138 prior to travel to discuss.
Truckies are advised to allow up to five minutes extra travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Ghost Gully is no where near the New England Highway
It’s on Molesworth Street heading towards the local transfer station and semi trailers never go that way
The N.S.W government need to check their facts out
It runs through the back of GTH (off Western Boundary Rd) & it actually crosses the New England Highway & Washpool Ck Rd etc.
So it IS near the highway because it crosses it.
So back to the actual point of the article, there WILL be delays for ALL traffic, regardless of where you think Ghost Gully is
