Toll Transport orders hydrogen prime movers as part of $2 million deal

Toll Transport has ordered two Taurus 70ft Hydrogen Fuel Cell (HFC) prime movers, as part of a broader package agreement worth more than $2 million.

Pure Hydrogen announced this week that its majority-owned subsidiary, HDrive International, had sold the trucks, which are due for delivery later in the year – set to be used in a B-double configuration.

The Taurus is the first Vehicle Type Approved (VTA) hydrogen fuel cell prime mover in Australia, having passed Australian Design Rules (ADR) standards.

Currently, the same type of Taurus prime mover is being used under trial by PepsiCo.

Pure Hydrogen also recently delivered a HFC waste collection truck to Australian waste management company Solo Resource Recovery, which will be used in Adelaide’s City of West Torrens Council.
