Daimler Truck Australia Pacific has issued a recall for 382 Mercedes-Benz Actros and Arocs trucks built between 2022-2024.
The recall is due to a manufacturing defect. “The rear axle bearing bracket may have been assembled with missing mounting bolts and could become loose. This could affect both driving and braking performance which could lead to a loss of vehicle control,” the recall notice said.
“A loss of braking performance and vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
Owners of affected vehicles are advised to contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to arrange for inspection and the works to be carried out if necessary, free of charge.
