The search continues for go-getting young truckies to appear in new television series

The team behind Outback Truckers is still casting for its new series Rookie Truckers, which will follow their journey as they’re mentored by veteran truck drivers – including Steve Grahame.

The show is currently in development by Prospero Productions and is a brand new series that follows the hugely successful Outback Truckers.

A spokesperson for Prospero Productions told Big Rigs, “Prospero Productions are on the hunt for companies and drivers around Australia to find rookies who are passionate and keen to show they have what it takes to make it in the Australian trucking industry.

“The show will follow rookie drivers as they learn the ropes from the best in the business, in the hope that they’ll take be able to take the reins from the ageing driver population.”

The team at Prospero Productions are keen to hear from young drivers who are currently employed, have a HR licence at minimum, and still have a bit to learn and experience out on the road.
