Rigs rumble in Rutherglen

The 2025 ANZAC Day weekend saw the north-east Victorian town of Rutherglen play host to the annual Rutherglen Rumble, drawing all manner of vehicles to the town’s showgrounds.

Around 60 trucks, ranging from historic Atkinson and Ford models, right through to the latest Kenworth C509 and Mack Super-Liner variants came from as far afield as Geelong and Sydney to compete for a number of prizes on April 26.

With transport in the border area a significant industry, a number of local fleets were well represented with trucks presented to a very high standard.

Rutherglen Rumble organiser Nicholas Hawtin was delighted with the turnout.

The event raised vital funds for Gateway Health, which provides crucial health and allied services to a large population across north-east Victoria and southern New South Wales.
