A truck driver is in hospital in a stable condition after being shot in the wrist and stomach in Sydney’s south-west overnight.
NSW Police said the 29-year-old man’s truck was cut off by another vehicle on Donald Street in Yennora at about 11.20pm last night.
A man allegedly exited the vehicle and fired several shots at the truck, before getting back into the vehicle and leaving the scene.
The truck driver was treated at the scene for the gunshot wounds before being transported to hospital in a stable condition.
A short time later, emergency services responded to reports of a black Lexus sedan alight on Dixmude Street, South Granville, and a second vehicle alight on Boundary Road, Chester Hill.
Both fires were extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW, before police established crime scenes at the two locations.
Police are investigating whether the shooting and car fires are linked.
