Meet Kenny: The T410SAR spreading the message for mental health

Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds will officially unveil its newest ambassador, Kenny the truck, at the Brisbane Truck Show this week.

The new Kenworth T410SAR was recently delivered to Healthy Heads from PACCAR and its Dealer Industry Fund. It has now received its livery and the event – running from May 15-18 – will be the first time it’s shown to the public.

Since Healthy Heads was launched in 2020, it has hosted over 100 events with its DAF Road Show vehicle across Northern Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria.

At its Road Show events, Healthy Heads has engaged with over 6000 workers from within the industry and has conducted more than 700 health screenings.

Kenny the truck will enable Healthy Heads to build on this and continue to meet more people from within the industry.

Following the Brisbane Truck Show, Kenny will embark on a nationwide tour as part of the Healthy Heads Road Show, from June to November.

At the show, Kenny will be located just outside the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The transport and logistics industry is a backbone of the nation’s economy, generating $118 billion annually and moving nearly 80 per cent of Australia’s domestic freight.

Worryingly, Healthy Heads says almost 50 per cent of its workforce reports experiencing a mental health condition.

Healthy Heads CEO Naomi Frauenfelder said, “Poor mental health across our sector is inextricably linked to major industry challenges from road safety risks to fatigue, isolation, and exposure to potentially traumatic events. These impacts go beyond individuals; they affect supply chains and the resilience of our economy.”

Naomi added that she’s excited to unveil Kenny at the Brisbane Truck Show. “Through this new vehicle, we’ll be able to reach even more people working in our sector in need and help to educate and support them, positively impacting the wellbeing of an industry that is the backbone of our country,” she said.

Healthy Heads will also have a stand at the Brisbane Truck Show – Stand 253.
