Cornwill Transport’s epic 2022 Kenworth Legend SAR – aptly named ‘Dynamite’ – has won the Champion of Champions trophy at the first Silverback Show ‘N’ Shine National Championships held alongside last week’s Brisbane Truck Show.
Andrew Derham’s 1989 Mack Value-Liner, ‘Stayin’ Alive’ was second with the judges and Trent Schaeffer’s state-of-the-art tri-drive Kenworth K200, ‘Summer Jam’, came in third.
The most popular truck among the public was Auswide Transport Solutions’ stunning 2021 Kenworth T909, ‘Karma’, which took out the People’s Choice Award sponsored by Slattery Auctions.
“For over a decade, the Silverback team has always stood firmly with the trucking community, honouring the GRIT & TOUGHNESS that drive this industry,” said event sponsor Silverback Armour in a Facebook post.
“A big salute to all who brought their A-game, and to the Champ(s) who rose above the pack – you’re the definition of True Legends!
“We also extend our gratitude to HVIA (Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia) for organising Brisbane Truck Show and trusting SILVERBACK to take a leading role in the inaugural ‘SHOW n SHINE’ National Championship. Their recognition of our shared passion and commitment to the Australian Trucking Industry is truly appreciated.”
