Truck Moves Australia: Helping to get the show on the road

For any big event, a lot goes on behind the scenes to make it happen. The recent Brisbane Truck Show was no different.

With so many impressive rigs on show, as part of the record-breaking 2025 Brisbane Truck Show – held from May 15-18 – Truck Moves Australia played a pivotal role in getting them there.

Truck Moves Australia worked with 13 original equipment manufacturers to complete more than 120 truck moves in and out of main truck show event, to presentation dinners and awards, and to other events held as part of Truck Week 2025.

As Managing Director of Truck Moves Australia, Matt Whitnall explained, “This is the 18th Brisbane Truck Show, where we have been involved in the background, making moves for OEMs and bringing in trucks from all over the country.

“Truck Moves Australia is now moving many trucks to other locations around Australia, including the latest heavy duty electric vehicles (EVs) too.”

What makes an event like the Brisbane Truck Show different to regular truck relocations that Truck Moves Australia completes on a daily basis, is that there are specific ‘bump in’ and ‘bump out’ timeslots. “This means the deliveries all need to be timed, which helps ensure the surrounding streets don’t get clogged up,” said Matt.

“There’s a big program that’s followed to get all the trucks in safely and securely. Our drivers love being part of the show and helping OEMs ensure their stands are well presented.”

Among the truck relocations completed by Truck Moves Australia in the lead-up to the Brisbane Truck Show was installing two trucks at Brisbane Airport, on display for all interstate and overseas visitors to see, as they arrived into Brisbane for the event.

“These trucks at the airport could only be positioned after midnight,” said Matt.

“I describe our involvement a bit like this. Everyone loves to stay for the party, but no one likes to stick around for the clean-up. That’s where Truck Moves Australia steps in, transporting the trucks back to where they need to go.”
