Followmont adds six new K220s for Brisbane to Townsville run

Followmont Transport taken delivery of another six new Kenworth K220 prime movers through its long-standing partner, Brown and Hurley.

Thesse new additions bring Followmont’s K220 fleet up to 13, with a total of 53 Kenworths now operating across the fleet.

The new K220s will be based in Brisbane and operate on linehaul runs to Townsville, to support a new customer for Followmont.

“They’ll deliver flexibility for both produce and general freight runs, while upholding the high standards our drivers expect day-in and day-out.”

Known for their strength and versatility, the Kenworth K220s combine great power from the high-performing Cummins X15 engine, with safety and comfort, making them well suited for long-haul tasks.

Followmont’s CEO, Ross Longmire, added that the trucks are perfectly suited to Followmont’s operational profile, which demands toughness, comfort, and endurance.

This latest delivery for Followmont follows the recent addition of eight new Sitrak C7H prime movers, delivered last month.
