Transport Women Australia Limited (TWAL) is proud to announce that Nola Bransgrove has been selected as the recipient of the esteemed Trish Pickering Award.
The award recognises an outstanding woman who embodies voluntary commitment, dedication, and leadership within the Australian transport industry.
The award, sponsored by Wes Pickering in memory of his late wife, Trish Pickering, was presented to Bransgrove in recognition of her lifelong impact and contribution to the transport industry.
Bransgrove was joint owner of Branstrans, a long-distance family transport company based in Gippsland, Victoria, for 48 years.
She had an instrumental role in the development of the industry accreditation program TruckSafe and was responsible for managing multiple accreditation programs in the Branstrans business.
Bransgrove was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2012 for services to the transport and logistics industry, women, and the community.
Among her many other positions, Bransgrove was also a Commissioner on the National Transport Commission where she also served as Deputy Chair.
Pickering, the award’s sponsor, highlighted Bransgrove’s extraordinary service, stating: “Again, someone who embodies the spirit of this award.
“It is my privilege to congratulate Nola Bransgrove OAM on yet another recognition of her contribution to the Australian transport industry.”
Bransgrove was praised for her tireless dedication and tangible results. Her commitment was described as an embodiment of the voluntary spirit that underpins the industry’s success.
“Nola has embodied the spirit of voluntary commitment and dedication that we all so admire, and which actually gets stuff done,” Pickering added.
“A lifetime of getting things done is how we have built this industry, and Nola has been there doing it for a good part of her own lifetime.”
TWAL Chair Coralie Chapman expressed her deep honour in presenting the award, as Bransgrove has been a big inspiration for her own career since day one.
