Upgrades to a 100-kilometre section of the Cunningham Highway are now complete, including road widening, roadside hazard removal, intersection upgrades and the installation of double barrier line marking.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) upgraded the highway between Lyndhurst Lane, Warwick and the Millmerran–Inglewood Road intersection, Inglewood.
These works started in May 2025 and have been completed this month, funded by the Queensland Government under the Targeted Road Safety Program.
Transport and Main Roads Regional Director (Southern Queensland), Bill Lansbury
said the safety improvements on the Cunningham Highway were aimed at helping to reduce crashes along this stretch.
