Calling all truckies for 2026 Camp Quality Convoy Geelong

Entries are now open for one of the most popular regional trucking events in Victoria, the 2026 Camp Quality Convoy Geelong.

Organisers are hoping to break the record of 272 trucks at the February 22 event.

This week, Daimler Trucks Australia Pacific was announced as the Platinum Sponsor for the event, which helps Camp Quality bring positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids (0-15) facing cancer.

The Camp Quality Convoy Geelong Family Festival, held alongside the convoy, is a free event packed with entertainment and experiences catering for kids and adults alike. There will be food vans, rides, face painting, roving entertainment, live music, a fundraising awards ceremony, and of course the opportunity to cheer on the returning convoy and check out all the trucks and vehicles at the Show and Shine.

“Camp Quality is a remarkable organisation that makes a real difference in people’s lives when they need it the most,” said Daimler Trucks President and CEO, Daniel Whitehead.

“We are so excited to get behind such a great cause.”

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific Vice President Sales, Marketing and Operations, Andrew Assimo, said the Convoy Geelong is an amazing community-driven event.

“Entering Convoy Geelong is a fun way for anyone who drives a truck to show their support for kids and families experiencing the challenging realities of a cancer diagnosis,” Assimo said.

“It has been amazing to see the level of support the local trucking community has given this event over the years and we would love to see the convoy fleet crack the 300 mark this year.”

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific said it’s proud to link with the Camp Quality team for next year’s big event.

The Camp Quality Convoy Geelong route covers 50km and allows the community to cheer on the trucks participating. The trucks then return to Beckley Park for the Show and Shine and Family Festival.

Money is raised through entries as well as supporters fundraising activities.

Last year, the Camp Quality Convoy Geelong raised $297,000.

The funds raised supports Camp Quality programs and services help families build optimism and resilience through community, education and fun.

Camp Quality is there for kids (0-15) dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a sibling, parent, or carer, every step of the cancer journey: in hospital, at school, online and away from it all at its camps and getaways.

Its core programs include:

Recreation Programs: Family camps, kids’ camps, family getaways, family fun days and family experiences to provide kids and families facing cancer with a positive experience, not centered around their cancer journey.

Cancer Education Program: An educational puppet show delivered in primary schools to dispel the myths about cancer, reduce bullying, and create a more inclusive and supportive school community.

Hospital Programs: Child life therapists stay by a child’s side in hospital throughout their cancer experience, encouraging coping skills and boosting wellbeing.

Online: Virtual camps, counselling, and support resources.
