Lane closures on Toowoomba Bypass during stabilisation works

Operators and truckies with wider loads should factor in detours when using the Toowoomba Bypass between the Warrego Highway West interchange at Charlton and the Gore Highway interchange at Athol until March.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises there will be fixed lane closures on the southbound and northbound lanes to carry out pavement stabilisation works.

Restrictions will apply during and after the work hours of 6am-6pm.

Restrictions during works

  • Vehicles with a ground contact width over 3.5m wide must use the approved detour.
  • Vehicles with load widths over 4m wide must use the approved detour during work hours between 6am-6pm.

Restrictions after works

  • Vehicles with load widths between 4m-6m wide that cannot lift over 1.2m must use the approved detour during out of hours between 6pm-6am.
  • Vehicles with load widths over 6m wide must use the approved detour during out of hours from 6am-6pm.
