Ampol opens new and improved truck stops at Eastern Creek

Ampol has now opened its redeveloped dual Ampol Foodary Eastern Creek service centres in Sydney, featuring new amenities for truckies.

Located on the M4 Motorway in Sydney’s West, the dual truck stops feature separate fuel and diesel canopies, along with ample parking, a new truckie’s lounge and shower facilities.

For electric trucks, both sites feature the AmpCharge network first-of-its-kind, drive-through EV charging bays, allowing for larger commercial vehicles and EVs with trailers to easily access charging.

Two ABB 400kW EV chargers have also been installed as part of the Eastern Creek Westbound hub – another first for the AmpCharge network – representing some of the fastest EV chargers in Australia.

The ABB 400kW EV chargers will be particularly useful for heavy electric vehicles that require quicker turnarounds.

Ampol received funding for the AmpCharge initiatives from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) as part of ARENA’s Future Fuels Fund.

On the retail front, the sites include Ampol Foodary, Soul Origin and Hungry Jack’s, among others.
