Sinotruk issues recall for 437 prime movers

Sinotruk International has recalled 437 of its Sitrak C7H 6×4 models in the year range 2020-2025.

The impacted variants are the G7S 6X4 prime mover ZF-90T, prime mover HW-75T and prime mover ZF-90T.

Due to a manufacturing defect, resettable circuit breakers may not have been fitted to the affected vehicles, the notice said.

“As a result, the turn signals and external lamps may not operate as intended, the defect may also increase the risk of electrical faults causing a vehicle fire.

“If lighting features do not operate as intended, the driver’s visibility may be reduced, and other road users may not be able to identify the vehicle in dark conditions.”

Sinotruk said owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest Sitrak dealer to arrange having their vehicle inspected and the work carried out, free of charge.
