The GMT felling grapple saw and felling head models are suitable for storm clean up, harvesting biomass, tree maintenance or removal on public green areas, along roads or waterways. The attachments are fully compatible with any machine that can handle a normal wood grapple, and thanks to a clever sequence valve there is no need for additional electrical systems or wired/wireless controls.
All functions for 360 degree continuous rotation, grapple open/close, tilt up/down and saw cut are operated from two double active operators controls, and only two pairs of hydraulic lines (the same as any standard rotating log grapple setup).
A clever valve on the grapple directs oil to the saw and tilt functions as required.
GMT grapple saws are a popular alternative for owners of 5-15T excavators seeking saw capability without the extra weight and installation complexities of other grapple saw attachments.
