Description

The below setup will be able to cut 400mm diameter. The Saw will require a minimum oil flow of 40 litres per minute to max 50 litres per minute and 250 bar pressure. Most smaller machines will only have two sets of auxiliaries so we will also need to include a solenoid to divert flow. For this setup we couple the grapple and saw on the same line and the rotator has its own circuit. It just means you will need to wire a switch in the cab to be able to divert the flow when required between the saw and grab.

Normal setup below for two auxiliary machine.

High flow: The grab and saw go on one line and we switch between the two with an electronic solenoid. We run a 4mm cable from the solenoid up to the couplers you can connect to this and run it into the cab to a momentary switch so the saw only works while the button is being pushed down.

Low flow: The rotator has this circuit

Saw line would need 40-50 lpm
Grab line 30-50lpm
Rotator line 20lpm

Another important point is there needs to be a return to tank line for the saw ¾.

Head bracket 5.5T (30kg) two removeable pins made of 4140, extra angle built in to be able to hold vertically standing items, such as orchard posts, retaining wall posts in close to excavator.

Rotator WD9 (62kg) worm drive, rigid mount suits excavators up to 10T High torque through gearing, locally installed motor, pressure and flow control. Endless 360 degrees.

Four Port Rotary Union installed in worm drive for saw.

FIVE FINGER GRAB TG22PROSR5 (160kg) hardox fingers, OPENS 1225mm CLOSES 60mm, greaseable bronze bushes at every pivot point, made of hardox. Manufactured in Europe. Suits up to 5.5T excavators.

Saw Interlam 450 CHT (70kg plus adaptor) maximum diameter cut +400mm. Bar 540mm overall, 2.0mm chain, .404 pitch, Oil flow min 40 litres to max 50 litres. Max pressure 250 bar, Auto lubrication, Rapid mechanical chain tensioner, Spring retract, Direct drive, Parker F11-06 motor (6cc). Must have return directly back to tank.

Pilot operated check valve mounted on grab

Solenoid, mounted on head bracket. Share between grab and saw, momentary switch wired to controls.

Details on hydraulic fit up.
The most important is the return back to tank on the saw, this cant go via a block and is best as a minimum ¾ or 1 line.
You can possibly share the saw and grab via a solenoid. Priority to grab and when activated to

We also recommend looking at lexon marguard or similar for the windscreen for operator protection in case of chain shot breaking of the chain occurs. This applies particularly to the the ¾ saws as they are running F12-30 motors which have a lot of torque, even though the chain is extremely strong.
