Traffic alert: Heavy vehicle detour on Golden Highway at Denman

Transport for NSW are advising heavy vehicle drivers of changed traffic conditions next week on the Golden Highway north of Denman due to maintenance work being carried out on the level crossing by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC).

Restricted Access Heavy Vehicles will need to detour via Denman and Wybong roads from 6.30am on Monday November 22 until 11am on Thursday November 25.

Signs and traffic control will guide heavy vehicle traffic through the detour, which will add up to an estimated 45 minutes additional travel time.

Light vehicles and school buses can continue to travel on this section of the Golden Highway via a temporary side-track but coaches will have to use the detour.

This section of the Golden Highway will be closed to all Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicles during this time with no local detour available.

OSOM operators are requested to avoid the area while work is carried out.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic control and all signs.

For more information about this work please contact ARTC on 1300 550 402 and for the latest traffic updates download the Live Traffic NSW App, visit livetraffic.com or call 132 701.
