Motorists and transport workers are being asked to exercise extreme caution or consider delaying their trip on the NSW South Coast as heavy rainfall impacts the region.
Several roads through the area are affected include the Princes Highway, which is closed in both directions at Mogo due to flooding between Dog Trap Road and Church Street. Motorists should consider delaying their journey.
The Princes Highway is also affected by flooding through Moruya, at the Moruya River, while the Monaro Highway is affected in both directions by water over the road near Rose Valley Road at Bunyan.
Additionally, the Kings Highway affected by water over the road on Reid Street at Nelligen.
Meanwhile, in the state’s north-west:
- The Carnarvon Highway is closed in both directions between Garah and Mungindi (Queensland Border)
- Pilliga Road is still closed in both directions between Wee Waa and Pilliga.
Motorists are reminded that conditions can change quickly and to exercise caution and never drive through floodwaters.
