WA Senator Glenn Sterle has scored another win for truckies in his on-going campaign to clean up the nation’s roadhouse amenities, this time at a BP in Moranbah, Queensland.

Early last month Sterle was contacted by a truckie in relation to the questionable condition of amenities at the BP Peak Downs Roadhouse.

“After making a query about this site directly with BP management, I was very pleased to hear that action has been taken and I want to give a massive shoutout to the BP Peak downs Highway Roadhouse – 24/7 Fuel, Grocery store & Restaurant who have done an absolutely ripper job on their renovations,” writes Sterle on his Facebook page.

“New shower facilities and ventilation systems have been installed in all toilets. I read it took them two weeks to do but all showers are free and ready for action!

“Well done to the team at BP Moranbah and thank you for the service you provide our essential truckies!”

Sterle also reassured truckies that he’s still chasing up a number of other queries in regarding sites you’ve let him know about.

“If you come across any others that are in need of some care and action, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
