PACCAR announces its Kenworth and DAF Dealer of the Year winners

Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra has been named the 2021 Kenworth Dealer of the Year, while Kenworth DAF Hallam has taken out the DAF Dealer of the Year 2021 award.

The awards recognise the best performing dealers within the PACCAR dealer network.

Rather than focusing on the highest truck sales, they also recognise superior performance across the business including customer relationships, facilities, parts and service and finance performance in terms of market share, growth, and aftersales support.

The presentation of both Dealer of the Year awards were livestreamed again as part of PACCAR’s online annual dealer meeting.

The Kenworth Dealer of the Year award was open to Kenworth dealers across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

This is the fourth time Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra has won the Kenworth accolade and it also follows on the heels of its DAF Dealer of the Year win in 2020.

“Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra is highly deserving of this award. Their clear and consistent delivery of customer service and support sits at such an enviable position and sets the standard for all,” said PACCAR Australia’s director sales and marketing, Brad May.

“On behalf of PACCAR Australia, I would like to applaud the dealership on its success, and I know it is committed to maintaining such high levels of professionalism in the years to come.”

Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra dealer principal, Matt Innes, accepted the award on behalf of all his staff.

“Winning this coveted Kenworth award is very much welcomed and is validation for the incredible efforts and lengths the whole team has gone to despite the challenges experienced over these past 12 months,” Innes said.

“It would be remiss of me if I didn’t also thank the team at PACCAR Australia. We very much value the continuous support and of course for providing us with premium quality trucks and parts.”

Daniel Crawford, managing director Kenworth DAF Hallam; Felipe Rubio, general manager DAF Trucks Australia; and Matthew Keene, general manager Kenworth DAF Hallam.

On the DAF side, Kenworth DAF Hallam was named DAF Dealer of the Year 2021 for the second time, after taking out the award in 2002. In addition, the dealer also took out the Cummins Dealer of the Year, and the coveted PACCAR Service Dealer of the Year award.

“In a year that everyone hoped would not echo 2020, Kenworth DAF Hallam continued to not only exceed expectations but it also demonstrated high performance levels in customer service and support to our DAF customers,” said May.

Matthew Keene, general manager of Hallam Truck Centre was delighted by the win, “Despite the challenging year it was, I couldn’t be more proud of the entire team across our three locations for going that extra mile every time. To win seems like a well-deserved reward and one that certainly belongs to every member of the team,” he said.

“Without the support of our colleagues at PACCAR Australia and the DAF Trucks team, we would not be able to achieve these great results. I would like to take this opportunity to add a thank you to PACCAR Australia for the support during what was another challenging year.”
