Windscreen wiper issue triggers Volvo recall notice

volvo

Volvo Group Australia has issued a recall notice for 725 affected FH13, FH16, FM11, FM13, and FMX13 trucks in the year range 2021-22.

Due to a software issue, the front windscreen wipers may fail, said the notice posted today by The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications.

“In the event of rain this may lead to poor visibility for the driver,” the notice added.

“Poor visibility will increase the risk of a collision resulting in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their nearest authorised Volvo Group Australia repairing dealer to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out free of charge.
